Terms of Use

Last updated: July 20, 2026 · Draft — under review

Plain-language summary (not a substitute for the terms below): CmdEnter is a practice tool with a permanent free tier and optional paid unlocks. Your training data stays in your browser. Purchases are handled by Lemon Squeezy as merchant of record, licenses are personal with up to 5 activations, and shortcuts change when vendors change them — verify anything critical against the tool's own documentation.

1. What CmdEnter is

CmdEnter ("the Service") is a browser-based trainer for keyboard shortcuts and typed commands, with a free tier and optional paid unlocks. It is provided by CmdEnter ("we," "us"). By using the Service you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, don't use the Service.

2. No accounts, your data stays local

The Service has no user accounts. All training progress — deck stats, move states, streaks — is stored in your browser's localStorage on your device. We do not receive, store, or process it. Clearing your browser data deletes it permanently; we cannot recover it, because we never had it.

3. Email signup

You may optionally submit an email address to receive product updates. Details of how that address is handled are in the Privacy Policy. Signing up is not required to use any part of the Service.

4. Free tier, purchases, and availability

The Service has three access tiers:

Current prices and what each tier includes are shown at the point of purchase. Purchases are processed by Lemon Squeezy as merchant of record — Lemon Squeezy's checkout terms apply to the transaction itself, and your receipt and license key come from them. Refunds: request one through Lemon Squeezy or by emailing hello@cmdenter.app.

License: a purchase grants you a personal, non-transferable license for your own use, activatable in up to 5 browsers or devices. Don't share, resell, or publish your license key. We may deactivate keys that are plainly being abused (for example, shared publicly).

We may change, suspend, or discontinue the Service (or any deck or feature) at any time. The free tier does not obligate you to pay for anything, and nothing in these terms creates an obligation to keep any particular deck available.

5. Accuracy of content

Shortcut and command mappings are verified on a best-effort basis against the versions and dates shown in each deck. Software vendors change their keymaps. We make no guarantee that any shortcut is current, complete, or correct for your version, platform, or configuration. Verify anything consequential against the vendor's own documentation before relying on it.

6. Acceptable use

Don't attempt to disrupt the Service, misrepresent its origin, or use it to infringe anyone's rights. That's the whole list.

7. Intellectual property

The Service's design, text, and code are ours or licensed to us. Product names referenced in decks (Cursor, Linear, Gmail, Excel, Blender, AutoCAD, Rhino, and others) are trademarks of their respective owners. CmdEnter is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any of them.

8. Disclaimer of warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

9. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATING TO THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR THE SERVICE IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM AROSE (WHICH, IF YOU USE ONLY THE FREE TIER, IS ZERO DOLLARS ($0)).

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The "last updated" date above will change when we do. Continued use of the Service after a change means you accept the updated terms.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of [STATE], United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts located in [STATE].
